New Features Being Added to Instagram – Notes, Candid Stories
Meta-owned social media platform Instagram has added several new features for users. Instagram is widely popular as a means of sharing pictures. Instagram has brought features like 'Notes', 'Candid Stories' and 'Group Profiles' as new features. So let's get some idea about them and know the techniques to get experience.
Notes
A new feature called Notes is coming to Instagram. Many are calling this feature as a shortened version of Twitter's Tweets. Users can post notes as short as 60 characters using emojis and text. Notes basically allows users to share what they are doing with friends and family or followers.
This feature can be enjoyed from Inbox, from there notes can be posted by selecting who can see the notes. Notes will be displayed at the top of the inbox for 24 hours after posting. Reply to notes will be shown directly in inbox.
In a word, this Notes feature is going to be another way to share your life events. For those who wanted to text or just post, this Instagram post will be very helpful. Through this feature, you can tell others about small or important activities/conversations without posting a story or direct feed.
Candid Stories
Meta-owned social media Instagram is going to add two features for users in the 'Stories' feature. According to various sources, one is 'Pass It On' and the other is 'Candid Story'. The first of these two has already been tested by Instagram. The other one will be launched soon. 'Pass It On' - You can invite friends to your stories through this feature.
On the other hand, there is another new feature called Candid Stories. Through Candid Stories, photos or videos of every moment can be published in Stories directly through the Stories camera. This can also be easily done from the 'Multi-author' section above the news feed. And after publishing candid stories for the first time, Instagram itself will give one notification every day for publishing new candid stories. However, if you don't want to receive this system or notification, you can turn it off by going to the settings option.
Meta Company said that this new feature will also be added to Facebook.
Group Profiles
Sharing content, memories, etc. with friends by creating group chats on Instagram is nothing new. To take this issue to another level, Instagram is working with a feature called Group Profiles, which will allow multiple Instagram users to use the same account, which Instagram calls group profiles.
It is expected that this new type of profile will be created soon and posts and stories can be shared on these profiles. However, the posts shared on the group profile will be shared only with the group members and will not be published. This collaborative profile feature is being seen for the first time on Instagram which is definitely appreciated.
